Jigzibik: At the River’s Edge is a new affordable housing community coming to Chicago’s Irving Park neighborhood. Its name comes from the Potawatomi word for “at the river’s edge,” and its design draws inspiration from Native American history and culture, reflected in shared spaces like a gathering hall, art and maker studio, and rooftop garden.
Located at 2909 W. Irving Park Rd., Jigzibik offers 45 apartments, including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, for households earning between 15% and 60% of the area median income (AMI), and is open to all qualified applicants. The community is close to parks, grocery stores, schools, restaurants, public transportation, and Native American institutions in the neighborhood.
