- Several years ago, Visionary Ventures, a Native-led Non-profit organization, recognized the need for affordable housing designed to serve the Native American community in Chicago. This community faces disproportionate housing cost burdens and is vastly underserved by existing resources. Visionary Ventures brought Full Circle on board as a co-developer due to their vast experience with developing affordable housing in Chicago.
2907 W. Irving Park will create 45 units of affordable housing within a new construction, mixed-use development along a major corridor in the Irving Park neighborhood. The approximately 62,000-square-foot mixed-use building will offer 10 studio, 15 one-bedroom, 10 two-bedroom, and 10 three-bedroom apartments. The units available will be affordable to households earning 15% AMI – 60% AMI. This development proposal is intentionally located to serve the Native American community, offering convenient access to community resources as well as access to parks/trails, grocery stores, public schools, restaurants, and transportation.
Residential units will be located on floors 2-6 of this mixed-use development. The first floor will have a residential lobby, parking, management, supportive service, and maintenance offices, as well as commercial space for a non-profit tenant. The seventh floor will offer resident amenities such as a community room, art/maker space, rooftop deck and garden beds, and a computer lab/library that may be open for public programming from time to time. The building also features a unique masonry façade, balconies, and a public entry plaza on Irving Park Road.
