Groundbreaking held for 70-unit Arbor at Lindale Trail
Marion, IA – On Thursday October 29th, Full Circle Communities, a Chicagoland non-profit, celebrated groundbreaking on a project that will provide affordable, service-rich housing for local senior residents ages 55 and over. With the strong support of The City of Marion and the Iowa Finance Authority, this four story, 70-unit building will be located at 1362 Blairs Ferry Road, and is scheduled for completion in late 2016.
Mayor Bouska, in support, said: “All of us at the City of Marion are looking forward to this housing project, for which there is a great need. It is important to provide affordable options for our local seniors to age in their communities and near their family and friends.”
The project is financed by the Iowa Finance Authority, City of Marion, Iowa Economic Development Authority, National Equity Fund and Horizon Bank. The development team of Full Circle, Stock Design and Architecture, Harris Engineering, Iceberg Development, Lightengale Group, and Door Creek Construction worked to design a building geared towards the needs of seniors, including accessible and adaptable units and on-sire supportive services that foster healthy living. The project will contain ample community space, a library, computer room, and overlook the scenic Lindale Trail.
“The Iowa Finance Authority is proud to be a partner on the Arbor at Lindale Trail, which will provide seniors with an affordable housing option for many years to come,” said Iowa Finance Authority Executive Director Dave Jamison.
